Extra Curricular Activities
To provide a broad range of experiences for our students, Middle Ridge offers a range of activities that assist them to develop other strengths. To this end the following choices exist:
- Junior and Senior Vocal Ensembles, Eisteddfod, Fanfare, Sing Out and Spring TYME Festivals.
- Interschool Sport - Years 6 - 7 (Friday afternoons)
- Instrumental Music - Senior Concert Band and Junior Band - Years 5 - 7 (one lesson per week) brass, woodwind and percussion.
- Instrumental Music camps
- Recorder Consort
- Library monitors - assist with the operation of book borrowing and shelving
- School Leaders - Year 7 students selected by peers
- School Camps/Excursions
- LOTE - Chinese Mandarin - taught to all Year 6 and 7 students
- Peer mediation for senior students
- Queensland Arts Council performances (2 per year)
- Cycle Safety - Years 4 and 5 (Term 3)
- Life Education
- Highschool Interface - Year 7
- First Aid - Year 7
- Denise Kable - Living Skills for Students with Disabilities
Of the above activities several carry additional cost - (these figures are based on 2008 costings and may rise)
