Chaplaincy Program

The chaplaincy program at Middle Ridge State School is a new, free, voluntary service offered to all of the school community. It has been funded by the Federal Government. As the school was successful in their application for funding, we have been able to secure funding for a chaplain for 3 years.

Tim Finch commenced as our chaplain in June 2008. His role as chaplain is to support and provide pastoral care for the students, parents and staff of Middle Ridge State School. A full document outlining the aims and work plan of the chaplaincy service at Middle Ridge is printed in the appendix.

Tim works Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8am - 4pm. He is based in H block on Thursdays and on Tuesdays he mixes throughout the school. Tim is married and has children of his own. He has a blue card and has passed the necessary AFP (Australian Federal Police) checks, for such a position.

Tim will be running support activities during lunchtime. Parents need to complete a parental consent form indicating whether they wish/do not wish for their child/children to participate in these activities. Please return this to the school ASAP. Any future changes to these activities will be documented in the school newsletter. If at any stage a parent wishes to withdraw their child/children from the chaplaincy program, they are to contact the school administration and put this in writing.

If you would like to make an appointment with Tim, contact the school.
